March didn't come in like a lion or a lamb here; more like a grey, wet blanket. Ah, such is winter - and fall and spring - in the Willamette Valley! (Just kidding. Kinda.)
Remember, if you want a chance to win a quilted sheepy wall-hanging, you need to enter my lambing contest by midnight tomorrow, March 2. (Enter in the comments here.)
That's it for now from . . .

March at least came in beautifully! That picture is gorgeous. It came in like a nasty grumpy old roaring lion here - wind and snow and cold cold cold.
I'm so very, very tired of all the miserable rain we've had this winter!! God did promise not to destroy the world again with water...right? I'd call this lion weather for sure!! However it came in, I'm welcoming March and am joyfully proclaiming - Good riddance February!!!
I think it's beautiful here, too, Heather. The winter palette at a lot of the places I've lived is shades of brown and dirty snow; I'll take green and grey any day! And you don't have to SHOVEL rain! Plus, we rarely have to deal with stock tank heaters and frozen water buckets.
Sounds just like March in Vancouver, BC!! Snow to end February, Cold, grey rain for March. Whoopie. We'll have to remember this in August when we're baking on the patio with a cold beer.
My hunger for some green gets somewhat satisfied by checking your blog. Thanks Michelle.
It looks so beautiful! And there is a definite lack of white stuff on the ground! Lovely photograph.
Uh yup. I read yesterday that a wetter, cooler than normal March is predicted for the Willamette Valley. Ugh. If that's the case, what was *last* March? sigh. And speaking of cooler than normal Marches... we woke up to 5" of snow this morning - did you get any?
