Until I have time to download and review my photos, here's a summary of Cowboy Campmeeting 2010 in the Umatilla National Forest outside Dayton, WA.
Trip to and from: Long but uneventful.
Weather: Cool to cold, with some rain (less dust!).
Meetings: Challenging and inspiring.
Rides: Scenic and safe.
Wildflowers: BREATHTAKING!
Knitting: Progress on the Shetland seashells scarf.
Mishaps: Rick's horse kicked Brian's pony the night we arrived, but after 24 hours and some Bute, she was as good as new. Camper's battery was dead, but were able to get a new one thanks to someone else's run to town for supplies. Camper's hot water heater apparently cracked last winter, but we did have cold running water after a bit of repair work.
Next year's announced location: Buck Meadows at the base of Mt. Adams - much closer to home.
That's it for now from . . .

Welcome back! Can't wait to see photos and more details. It's been hot, hot, hot here and very dry. Maybe some of the cool moist air will move this way. ;-)

'Glad you had a good time, and are home again safe and sound. Cowboy Campmeeting, huh? Sounds great - I'll be looking forward to the pictures.
Welcome back :)
I so glad you made it back home safe. I hope you guys and Brian had a good time.
Welcome back! Poor pony, but glad everything worked out. Bummer on the hot water and battery tho...

Glad you made it there and back OK. It wouldn't be camping without a few mishaps! Welcome home!

Glad you all made it home safely! I'd love to hear more details about the trip and how the speakers were, who all was there, etc. Rick doesn't share much information and sounds like he didn't enjoy the trip much at all. I'm very glad to hear that next year will be at Mt. Adams...yeah!!!!
