Thursday night was one of the rare summer evenings we get that are too warm for comfortable sleeping. Friday started out warm, and got hotter than the preceding scorchers, even though the forecast was for slightly lower temps. Not a cloud in the sky or a stir in the air; ugh. When I woke up this morning to this
and more refreshing air, I was so thankful!
Other things to be thankful for on this blessed day of rest:
The daylilies have started to bloom - under the hanging basket of still-glorious petunias.
My little Sunset maples on the south side of the house are finally flourishing this year.
We've harvested our first Rainier and Bing cherries from our young trees. Yum!
Tonight we made raspberry non-fat frozen yogurt for dessert with berries from our garden. Double yum!
That's it for now from . . .

It's oppressive here today--feels like you could cut the humidity with a knife. Thunderstorms maybe this afternoon, but probably no cooler temps. Have a great day!
