All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful,
The Lord God made them all.
- Cecil Frances Alexander, 1818-1895
Some friends followed us home after church Saturday afternoon to see the lambs. But Brian's friend Alexis is an equal-opportunity cuddler, and loved on every species on the place - the dog, the cat, all three horses, and as many chickens, sheep and lambs as she could catch or touch. Definitely a girl after my own heart. :-)

Isn't it wonderful to see the joy animals bring to children (and us adults)...
Alexis does indeed seem to be a farm girl at heart. Just look at the peaceful look on her face...she's a girl after my own heart too Michelle.
Animals are a blessing in so many ways.
Talk about bring a warm feeling to your heart!!
She's adorable! And after my heart too.
The chicken didn't look too pleased though... but when does a chicken look pleased? ;-)
great photos Michelle!
She is a girl after my own heart too as that is what I want to do when I see animals - any animal. My husband says I should be more cautious. I would even pick up snakes as long as I know they are not poisonous. I am a country girl in spirit that lives reluctantly in the city. Ahhh to have the youth of Alexis again.
That little girl needs a farm to call her own. I hope she gets it someday :)
