One or more of these lovely young ladies has laid three eggs in four days, starting with last Friday's special delivery.
They may be little pullet eggs, but since they are the only eggs we've been getting lately, they're perfect! (I've been holding the Red Sex-Link eggs in the carton for our sole, once-a-month egg customer; the pullet eggs may just have to complete their dozen!)
That's it for today from . . .

Pretty line-up!
Spring must be coming!
Look at those babies~! They are so cute...I love chickens ~ you know they all have their own personalities..Fresh eggs..
Did you know that you shouldn't wash the egg until your ready to eat it? Something about a protective coating the chicken has that goes onto the egg when laid. These eggs taste so much better than store bought eggs..
Glad you are getting eggs, just in time for easter in a couple months..
Keep up the good works girls~!
Have a Tiggeriffic Day~! Ta Ta For Now from Iowa:0
Yep, knew that about washing eggs, Tiggeriffic; those eggs are clean because of lots of fresh pine shavings!
I'd say it's the back two girls giving you the treasures. You can tell because their combs and wattles are darker red and bigger. That typically happens when a hen is ready to lay...
Yay! I think my girls are hiding theirs. I was getting up to 4 a day - now I'm only getting 2... Hmm... Maybe Lyra has found them!
