Constantine called it

This ewe is not lambing today. This ewe is going to wait at least two more weeks until the due date established by Constantine's attentions. Le sigh. For all the waiting and suspense, it sure would be nice to end the season with two or three exceptional ewe lambs!

In the meantime, the iris are putting on an exceptional display. I catch my breath every morning when I walk outside and every time I drive up after going somewhere; they are just incredible! The "big picture" pictures I've taken don't do them justice, so I am posting solo shots as they open to share with you.
Time to water the garden and see how much all the seedlings have grown. I think we'll have the first homegrown salad of the year for supper!

That's it for now from . . .

I'm sorry your ewe is not going to lamb for a while. Hopefully it won't interfere with you Memorial Day plans. Beautiful upclose photos of your Irises. I think my favorite are the deep purple. You take great photos! Thanks for your post.

Oh, just rub it in, Michelle. My trees haven't even thought of leafing out yet - which they normally do around Mother's Day. I'm wondering if this past horrific winter scared them all???
Enjoy. And thanks for sharing the beauty around you with those of us in more barren locals. :)

Beautiful iris! We don't have those yet, but rhodies are popping out everywhere. I think May is my favorite garden month.
