Mini-sweater #2 is ready for sleeves; would have finished it in a day but had to make bread (for us) and cookies (for a cookie exchange) last night. The sleeves will probably be lavender; the color changes aren't working out as perfectly as they did for mini-sweater #1. But I do like the neck better.
In the meantime I got to thinking how nice it would be to have wee sweaters in natural colors from each of my sheep on my Christmas tree next year - you know, until I finally get around to making myself that natural-colors Fair Isle cardigan from my own little Shetlands. I could top-stitch the name of the wool donor across the chest in a contrasting color, maybe even in red or green to "jingle it up" a little.
Whatcha think, Bronwen?
Just call me "sheepmademedoit" (my Ravelry name) at . . .

Great idea for you! (I don't think I can pull off 35+ tiny sweaters from each sheep here, but I'll cheer you on!)
I think Bronwen IS a sweater! Tee hee.
Too cute Michelle. Very sweet wool swatches/sweaters.
Brilliant! What a great idea. I think maybe I'll knit little stockings for each of mine. How cute.
BTW, I totally love your Ravelry name. LOL
That's a great idea! I like Christine's idea for stockings as well.
Bronwen is a gorgeous ewe! Beautiful Gulmoget markings.
What an adorable sweater! That goes for Bronwen, too...
Thats a great idea! Maybe use sparkly greens and reds for the names?
Your mini-sweaters are so cute! I made mini-Christmas stockings once for tree ornaments but I don't have a clue as to where they are this year. Not on my tree.
I love your new blog photo too!
Let's do it Michelle. Let's do a natural colored KAL by next Christmas. I think it would be fun and we could get ideas from each other. I'll bet there are other knitters/shepherds who might have been thinking about it too. We could start in January!
BTW, the mini sweater is adorable. I need to do that too - but no time now. Next year.
Yes, sheep DID make you do it!!! And you have "done it" all with such enthusiasm and creativity. Bronwen (of the sweet gully smile) looks very proud of you!
I love the idea of mini-sweaters in all the natural colors, great idea Michelle!
