My photography assistant...

...is the sun. I realized yesterday that I am ever so much more inspired to hang out with the critters and take pictures when the sun is shining; imagine that! I decided to save the following photos of Katie (whose belly already seems to be bulging; only 11 weeks until lambing!) for their own post today. She is so photogenic!

Heading into another busy weekend at . . .

I love the profile! She seems to love having her picture taken. How nice to see sun - it's in short supply here...

I know I'm a much happier person when the sun is shining.

Both our ewes (Staci, a 4 year old purebred Suffolk) and Two (a 1 year old Suffolk cross) love to lay in the sun when it is out and warming the ground. We get a lot of rain here on the southern Oregon coast this time of year, so they aren't out of the lean-to much. I am hoping they are both expecting and due in January. Weaned lambs for our 4-H'ers market projects cost $175 a piece last year. My daughter was given Staci at the fair this year and Two was donated back by the auction buyer. Fingers crossed they don't deliver during one of our storms.
