Thanks, everyone! Yes, I anticipate these will be ornaments. I just hooked a regular metal ornament hanger in the back of the neck; works great. I've already started another; cast on 12 stitches and knit four rows this time to make it a tidier mock-turtleneck.
You could put Keeblers curls on them...
