Some styles are not quite ready for unveiling.
Some pretty little numbers simply beg to be someone's dancing frock.
Sweet pastels always look fresh and innocent.
You can never go wrong accessorizing with dew (click for big).
There's always going to be some exotic numbers that those of us on the street wouldn't dream of wearing.
Muted, natural colors work for some.
You can never go wrong with classic black and white.
And then there's me. :-) And this:
I wore my vest all day, and it felt like a warm hug. I must admit its proportions are a bit short and wide; if I had a do-over I'd make it a size smaller and add a couple inches. I'm interested to see if I can accomplish this by blocking. Since I was running errands in town anyway, I stopped by my LYS to show it off; several of the ladies there knew of my search to find the perfect vest pattern. While there, I saw a lady putting the buttons on a stunning Fair Isle sweater, and the inspiration hit for my next knitting project. No, not a sweater, but something Fair Isle!
That's it from the runway at . . .

Wowee, Michelle! Your vest looks great! Congratulations on the GOLD!
Thanks for sharing the spring flowers. You're a little ahead of us here, but everything is really early this year.
That was fast, Franna! I barely got my finger off the "Post" button! Thanks for the compliment. Since you are much more experienced, can you tell me if I can block it to more of the shape I want? I know when I've blocked scarves, if I pull on it to make it longer, it gets narrower....
Wow Michelle! You are a super speedy knitter! And such a complex pattern. Wow, I dream of the day I can do something like that. What a tremendous effort and achievement! Congrats on the gold!!
p.s. Am so envious of your flowers, I can't even look!
That vest is gorgeous! Are the flower pictures current? If so, lucky you! The only signs of spring around here are the baby goats!
Claire, I may be a STUBBORN knitter, but not a speedy one! And Goodwife, yes, those are current flower pix.
Oh my, your runway rivals any in New York or Paris as does the vest. Beautiful work and competing with a classic black and white tux too! ;-)
Congrats on the gold, you earned it!
Beautiful job, Michelle. You did a super job and it looks great on you. The style suits you too.

Your flowers are beautiful and your vest awesome! And yes, you should be able to block it longer. Wool rocks ;-).
Congrats, the vest looks fantastic! Way to go!
Congratulations on a job well done! I love your new background.
The vest is beautiful! I love the pattern and the color.
I envy your bright flowers - I still like the snow here, but after 3 months of it covering everything I am ready for colorful blooms. We have had some melting - my fur-daughter actually found strips of grass to walk on today.

The vest is great! I'm so impressed that you knit it so quickly. I love your spring fashion show too.
Love the vest! You might be able to squeeze a little more length out of it with blocking, but it might be limited by the cables. They will tend to make the fabric a little less fluid.
