Because surely SOMEthing in this post is going to make you do it!
Rick sometimes makes us breakfast on Sunday morning, usually omelets. But this morning when I came in from doing chores, he was on the phone with a client, getting her recipe for German pancakes. Mmm; I had one of those once at a restaurant, and it was good. Well let me tell you, that one was a pale shadow of the magnificence that was our breakfast this morning:Perhaps it was the freshest of eggs from our own healthy hens, or maybe it was the fresh-squeezed juice of an organic lemon off my MIL's own backyard tree. No, no; I'm pretty sure it was the raspberries from the Boulderneigh berry patch, frozen at the peak of summer sweetness and then oh-so-carefully thawed this morning! I made embarrassing noises, and would have eaten until I popped if Rick had made more than one apiece....
Ooooh! Aaaah!
With all possible food cravings satisfied, I moved on to my #1 priority today - getting Brava's fleece skirted for the person who reserved it. But this year I didn't throw away her wonderfully crimpy, soft neck wool, below. Regardless of VM (bits of hay, etc.), I AM going to wash and spin this myself!
As if this pretty arrangement in the front bed isn't enough of a flower fix, next I planted the three violas I picked up last week in my teacup pot on the deck and the three pansies that Brian picked out in the footed urn pot out front:
I still have some sweet violets from a friend to put in the ground; I'm going to put them in the concrete-surrounded bed on the side of the garage where they will stay contained:
Lastly, my new wardrobe addition is coming along nicely:I'm not sure I am following all the stitch instructions properly, but I figure as long as I'm consistent in doing my thing, it will turn out fine.
That's it for now from . . .

Food looks yummy, wool is beautiful, knitting makes me jealous because I need to learn, and as for the flowers....stop being a hater, I live in OH for pete's sake:)
You have all that, and I am happy that the snow is gone. It is ugly and wonderful here. (and I thought the drooling was from Dozer)
GREAT!!! Now my keyboard is all wet...
While the breakfast does look pretty delectable, I'm drooling over the crimpy woolly goodness. Nice work, Brava!
Drooled right through from first picture to last. Vest is looking great!
Everything made me drool! Darn keyboard is all sticky now! Seriously, that crimp is gorgeous - can't wait to see it spun up!
Could life possibly be any more perfect????
PLEASE print the recipe for those pancakes!!!
Yeah, can you share the pancake recipe?
Yes, all of them absolutely drool worthy :)
The heck with the recipe - just send Rick out here to fix my breakfast!!!

Sorry, Mom L, unless you pay the airfare you'll have to settle for the recipe!
For each pancake/serving (we tripled it), combine 2 eggs, 1/2 c. milk and 1/2 c. flour (Rick used unbleached; I'm going to try whole wheat pastry). Prepare one pie plate per serving by putting in 1/4 c. butter (we used Smart Balance Light) and placing in a hot oven (400-425) until butter is melted and bubbling. Pour batter in hot pie place and bake approximately 15 minutes. Transfer to dinner plate, squeeze half a lemon over it and dust liberally with powdered sugar (and raspberries, if you have them!). Dive in....
