Chilly enough...

...for a little white stuff! Yep, yesterday morning we awoke to a faint dusting of snow on the deck. Thankful to still have a little wood left in the woodshed, we've had a fire going. Flowers and a fire; strange combination!

I have found that the very best handwarmer is a just-laid egg. Not very practical, but oh, so effective! This was the first of yesterday's half-dozen, the most we've gotten in one day from our nine hens in many moons.

Back to flowers. I just love pansies; I planted a trio near the front door. I have a trio of violas to plant in my footed urn planter out front, and another trio of pansies to brighten my teacup pot on the deck.

Fibercraft update: I'm back to working on the white alpaca on a regular basis, and the Talia vest is in process - with new black Lion Brand Wool-Ease yarn.

That's it for now at . . .

I envy you and your flowers...we still have snow on the ground for goodness sakes....although it is very little. I just can't wait for the first blossoms of Spring!! My peach tree IS getting tiny buds, but I'm anxious to start really DIGGING IN THE DIRT and planting my new herb garden!! Thanks for the pansy pics.....they are a favorite of mine, too! Love their little "faces"....

I really like the feel of the Wool-Ease. I just picked some up yesterday myself.

I love pansies! They are yummy in salad! I'm going to ask my lady to plant some for me to eat! We have about 2 1/2 feet of snow left in our valley - so planting is weeks out yet.

Pansys are one of my very favorites. I think because they were my grandmother's favorite. I have the pansy vase she brought with from Belfast when they came :-)

We got a foot of new snow. :( Now, we're supposed to have a break with much warmer temps - I hope so...I would love to see some green and flowers right now.

Ralph is coming to BSG with me so maybe we can convince him of the PNW as a retirement option. heeheehee

Thanks for sharing.
