Throwback Thursday

Once upon a time, this treehouse was a little boy's dream and a father/son project. Seven years doesn't seem that long ago – until I looked at the photos I took then!  =8-O
(He still has that teddy bear. ;-)

Now it stands neglected, abandoned.

Or is it?

That's it for #tbt at . . .

Seven years is an age in child's life. You may be neglecting that treehouse but I can guarantee others are not!. It might have to be renamed the Nut Storage Hut or the Hibernation Hut. :-)
Rain here this morning and snow predicted. I'm betting a sloppy white to mud mix but you never know.

Seven years is a lot in the life of a child.... but the squirrels seem to be house sitting until it is needed again. Maybe for grandchildren in a few years?

It's wet and chilly here, Theresa, although for the moment the sun is shining. I'd dash out to take advantage of the break and ride, but I'm babying along a fire in the woodstove!

Oh Kim, it better be longer than a FEW years!!!

I've always loved that tree house. You should use it! :-D

It's so hard that the little angels do grow up so quickly. I miss having children in my daily life, SO much, it makes my heart hurt from missing them.

I think if that treehouse was in my yard, I'd be going for knitting breaks up there! Looks rustic but a lovely way to disconnect and be at one with nature.

I love that you immortalized it in my farm art, Sara!

Mrs. Shoes, I now have a teenager in my daily life. Sometimes I think this stage in a "child's" life is to make it easier for us to let them go! ha

It's definitely rustic, Claire, without enough natural light for me to knit by (middle-aged eyes and all that).
