Still lots of color above, but today I looked down.
It is impossible to tell that Rick rented a backpack blower to clear the leaves off the driveway just two days ago. :-/
I also found this little surprise among the yellowing leaves of my spirea:
That's it for now from . . .

I love seeing leaves on the ground . . . even covering the driveway! We don't have very many deciduous trees up here in the north woods . . . and because of that our fall season isn't quite as spectacular as in other places. On the other hand, when snow coats all our evergreens, it can be spectacular!
I've read that leaves should stay on the ground to eventually become compost for the lawns. Apparently the author / editor do not live in the western part of the Pacific Northwest with its abundance of leaves covering everything.
We leave our leaves here for mulch, but we don't have as many as you I'm guessing ;-).
I love seeing the leaves, too, Mama Pea, but they do make the driveway slick and muddy if they aren't cleaned off the gravel. They can be heavy enough to kill the grass as well.
Obviously, Wanda!
Our leaves are heavy enough to be the suffocating kind of mulch, Sara.
