Many hands don't always make light work, but they sure help get the work done!
Today Rick and I had a couple projects we wanted to accomplish while the weather was nice - mow the lawn and weed the island bed so I can get my dahlia bulbs planted. Well, Mom and Dad pitched in (Brian had to work, too, of course), and not only did we get the island weeded (a BIG job) and the lawn mowed, Mom weeded the iris bed, I got all the dahlia tubers planted, and we got the brush pile burned, too. Everything looks so nice now!

Your place is beautiful!
Question about dahlias. I dug mine last year and now I don't know what I'm supposed to do to plant them back. I think I was told I could divide them, but can't remember where to cut...? If they aren't dividable, do I just plant them back and how deep...?
..when our boys were growing up we had "Family Yard Day" twice a year. No one planned anything on that day and mom fixed a big pot of soup and cornbread. We got out in the yard and raked, dug, planted, trimmed, chopped sometimes painted and sweat and kidded all day long. Great memories were made and we got alot done.
OH! Mom and Dad are so cute! Cherish the moments!
