Visitors

This afternoon my neighbor friend walked down the lane with her granddaughter to visit all the animals of Boulderneigh. After stopping at the house first to meet the dogs, they walked on down to see the sheep, chickens and horses. I was busy in the house with cleaning and canning tomatoes (done now; hurray!), so my friend took these photos and emailed them to me.
Last night the meteorologists were forecasting a deluge starting at midday today, but the weather being what it is, it has stayed dry and partly sunny - and warm. Unusually warm, like 70 degrees. This after needing a fire in the wood-burning insert earlier this week. Ah well, maybe a few more of the tomatoes I haven't picked will start ripening, so we can extend our enjoyment of "homegrown tomatoes" a little longer (that's a fun little ear worm; if you've never heard it, do google and have a listen!).

Wishing you all a great weekend from . . .

Sweet pictures! Rain predicted here too and you were spot on. It was hot here yesterday and kind of humid.
The sheep look so dapper in their coats.

Rain wasn't predicted here, until it started falling. Then suddenly, the weather guessers are telling us this "clearing, mild" weekend will instead be cold and damp. Thank's for the heads-up, folks!

Glad someone got a good weather surprise!

What ADORABLE pictures! I especially like the one of the little girl reaching UP to give the horse a treat.

So cute. I envy you still canning tomatoes. I still have a few left to ripen though they're slow do to the cool spell we got (fortunately after we got the woodstove in!)
