Yesterday I met the new residents at the place where Debbie stables Ivy. (Click on the link to see just how much Jackson has grown. He's now taller than Monte!) April the llama, Clyde and Bubba, who look like angora/dairy goat crosses, were purchased for roping practice (poor things); I immediately had designs on the goats' fleeces. I was able to touch Clyde, the darker goat; mmmm soft.I know, I know; I have plenty of my own fleeces at home to skirt, wash, prep and spin!
Speaking of fiber and spinning, last night I finished the white U.S. Romney. I think I enjoyed it about as much as I did the BFL top, and that's saying a lot! The next fiber I'm going to tackle is a dark Romney from New Zealand. Like the white Romney, it is washed but not prepped, so I'll have to flick-card the locks before getting to spin it.
Jackson started school (beginning obedience) today. After class was dismissed, he got a chance to play with the instructor's 11-month-old Doberman. It took him awhile to gain confidence, but then he had a ball. All in all, this is going to be an excellent experience for our pup!
That's it for now at . . .
