Paying it forward, delivered

The first two of my Pay It Forward handmade gifts have arrived at their destinations, so I can share photos now.

MiniKat (Kathleen) said she likes "purples, lavenders, lilacs, dusty roses, sage greens, warm red-browns," wears scarves, and prefers snail mail to email for personal correspondence. So I made her this scarf out of Purple Mountains Moonlight Mohair and a set of scenic photo notecards.

Deb said "my favorite color is dark purple; I love all the jewel tone colors. I do wear scarves." Among her favorite kinds of animals are "sheep in every color." So obviously I had to make her a scarf out of Purple Mountains Moonlight Mohair, too, and craft a little sheepie bead and safety pin "shawl pin" to go with it! Here's a close-up of the pin:
That's it for now at . . .

VERY pretty, Michelle!

I don't know how you find the time to do it...

The sheepy pin is adorable. Good job. The scarves are very nice too, but you made a sheep pin!!! ;-D

I absolutely love my scarf and the sheepie pin is so clever - I will wear them both often.
Thank you Michelle - your hand made gifts are greatly appreciated :)

I also love my scarf and am trying to narrow down the folks who get to receive messages in the note cards.

Thank you again, Michelle. I also don't know how you find the time to do everything. :-)

Hey, we all get 24 hours a day. :-) And I DO spend at least seven of those in bed! The bead and safety pin craft is something Brian and I can do together (he has made a red pick-up truck and an airplane). The knitting I do to occupy my hands while waiting, or during the nightly news. And I must admit, the "pattern" for those scarves is about as fast and easy as they come - it's the same k1, yo, k2tog that I used for my moebius shawl. I'm just glad they are well received (and you're both very welcome, Deb and Kathleen!).
