At the time of year when the only white on the ground should be candytuft and falling cherry blossoms, we woke to another skiff of snow on the deck. So much for local fruit this year! A fire in the woodburning insert felt wonderful last night, but the house is cold this morning because we're nearly out of firewood. I was half-afraid to go to the barn this morning, wondering if I'd find lambsicles, but Dinah's twins seem to be doing fine (although I really wasn't fully reassured until I saw both nurse again).
Rechel's twins are two weeks and two days old today, and what a couple of pistols! They've been playing "boy games" for awhile, mounting each other and butting heads, but this morning I noticed that both seem inordinately interested in Bella.Yikes!
That's it for now from chilly . . .

Your weather is totally strange, it's like what we're getting which is kinda normal, but pretty obnoxious. I'm glad your little sweeties are doing well. Hope Mim can get hers on track soon - so sad.o
I've been trying to capture that funny "ram smile" for so long - I think it is SO funny! I continue to enjoy your blog!
Cheers!
First, PLEASE tell me the flowers are staying on the fruit trees! We live for West Coast fruit season - augh!!!
Secondly - BETTER YOU THAN ME! HAHA! We've had enough snow....in fact, this past winter was in the Top Ten greatest snow amounts ever...and I can STILL see snowpiles out my window! Glad the lambs did ok! :-)
Isn't it weird how the mating instinct seems to be around from the get-go? Our ram lambs are already trying to mount each other (I know this is about dominance but still) and I've also seen that face raised with upturned lip look after sniffing rumps or urine. Makes me a little queasy, I have to admit.
Congrats on all your beautiful lambs, and to imagine, you thought you'd have to go without! I love the long eared lamb/kid!
Michelle,
Congratulations on those lambs. Your white girl is sweet. This year is my first for having white lambs. I used to think they were boring and that they all looked alike. I couldn't have been more wrong. I love them.
Thanks for the laugh over Rechel's twins. What naughty boys! They LOOK very nice though. :)
Have a great day, even though winter is doing a U-turn there.
We had snow yesterday morning also; last week it was in the 80's here, the temps just plumeted, all the way to a snowy morning :)
Two more healthy babies! Yay! And such a pretty white girl!
your little ram is so adorable with the curled nose!! HA HA HA. finally a laugh for me in my 'doom and gloom' mood. I"ve missed all my daily visits to my blogger friends....glad to be back and up-to-date!
Congratulations on your beautiful new lambs Michelle! The white lambs are so sweet and special. Our two week old set of ram lambs are like unsupervised little hoodlums bugging the ewes to no end. They alert me to the ewes who are getting close to lambing. Best wishes with your next lambing.
