Watercolors, Part 2

Driving back from the coast into the Willamette Valley Sunday afternoon, I was thinking about the palette shift. Lots of gray in both environments that day, but while the Pacific Ocean dominates the coast, fields of vibrant green dominate the valley. I decided to take some photos after work the next day to show the difference.

Little did I know that literal 'watercolors' – a rainbow – would sprout up at the end of the day!

This morning I snapped a couple shots of our double-flowering cherry getting ready to pop. April showers bring April flowers, you know, so I guess you could call these another type of 'watercolor.'

That's it for the Willamette Valley's watercolors from . . .

Beautiful. I believe I have told you before that my grand girls and I are enamored with Oregon. Particularly the ride from your area to the coast.
