No photos, but one sheep mission was accomplished this morning: I corralled the big boys so I could remove Bing's halter. I'll have to corral them again next week to get Bing sheared; I didn't have enough time this morning to do that. I almost tackled rooing little Butler ("Bonaparte" didn't stick), but then remembered I needed to get the trash bin to the top of the driveway for pick-up. But there was still some room in it which seems like throwing away good money, so I filled it up with weeds. These weeds are pretty right now, with their red stems and pink flowers, but they take over, then die back and look ratty; fortunately, they are relatively easy to pull.
Here's more "pink trash" from my drive to work Monday – it was raining cherry petals all over town!
It's not exactly raining bowls here, but Rick did get this one stained last night:
It's made out of black locust, a very hard, yellowish wood. Rick turned this one first, then switched to the maple burl. Here they are together on our couch for scale. I think my bowl is going to make a beautiful prop for fiber/yarn/spindle photos! 😉
Knitting photos will have to be staged elsewhere. My little sweater has sleeves now, and I'm struggling to pick up the correct number of stitches for the button band and shawl collar:
Finally, a pick-me-up in a pan – brownies with LOTS of walnuts. Mmmm. (It no longer looks like this; just sayin'.)

Always nice when "weeds" are pretty! Still, if left unchecked, even their blossoms stop looking so good. :o(
Brownies! I haven't made them in a coon's age. Just read an article where a man's mother's dementia was nearly eradicated by a complete change in her diet. The diet was loaded with blueberries . . . and chocolate and walnuts! Dig into those brownies without guilt!!
Wow. I had no idea that black locust was so beautiful. Of course, it helps to have someone who can take advantage of the natural beauty bring it to its full potential. What a gorgeous bowl! Perfect for holding yarn.... ;) Good use of the trash can - no sense in trying to find some 'safe' space to compost weeds. Can't be done!!! I am happy to report that GF brownies are most often delicious, as compared to everything else GF. And, thanks to Mama Pea, I can now have my brownies topped with blueberries and walnuts and eat as much as I want - in the name of sanity.
