Well, this just might work!

Yesterday morning my laptop went dark. I tried various resets to see if the screen would work again with no luck, so this morning I was waiting at the door of the nearest Apple Store (an hour away) when they opened. Now I wait.

But while I wait, I decided to see if it’s possible to post from my iPhone.
Lo and behold, it is! Adding this photo was awkward, but at least I can show you how stunning my favorite tree looks right now. I’ll probably post more on Instagram while computerless because it’s easier, but I’m glad to know this option exists.

Oh, so sorry about the computer woes. Not fun at all. Let's hope its not serious. Love your tree. Colors are starting to show here too. Love to see the sunshine through red leaves.

Uh-oh! Hope the computer problem isn't hard to fix or expensive. Our colors are all but gone mostly due to a terrific wind storm on Monday. Don't know why but it seems we always get bad wind and/or rain that takes our leaves before they fall naturally. They're still lovely on the ground and roadsides though.

What was the verdict on your computer? How did you know it's just the screen and not the computer malfunctioning?
Right before OFFF I tried to turn on my iPad to make sure the payment app was up-to-date but nothing happened. It never occurred to me that it might only be the screen not working.

I asked the question above...

FFG, I feel handicapped without my laptop and in reality I am, typing reduced from ten fingers to one; pages and words too small to see. Fortunately my laptop is on its way back..,.

Mama Pea, I don’t know yet what was wrong or how much it cost me, but was given a maximum limit. The fall colors have been stunning here, but with all my running around, most of the pictures are only in my head.

Wanda, I thought the problem might just be my screen because the touch bar lit up or went dark as I turned the machine off and on, and at one point I could see what was on the desktop with the aid of a flashlight. But the tech at the Apple Store Genius Bar tried several things including two external monitors which pointed fingers more toward a bad board. He said the cost of fixing either display or board was about the same, but a bad board risks losing data. Fortunately I backed it up not TOO long ago....

Hope the computer arrives soon and doesn't cost an arm and a leg . . .

Hope your laptop is at home again and doing well! 😃

I love mine, and need to take it to the Mac Man! Must stop putting it off!

The tree you pictured is exquisite!

Still don't know the cost, A, but no complaints about the turn-around time!

It is, Jeanne. And yes, I just love that Japanese maple in our island bed. Every year it's gorgeous, but it seems especially red this year.
