This morning I took these photos of two of my Japanese maples, then headed to work.
There I found a co-worker with jangled nerves. Her sister and brother-in-law were at the Route 91 concert in Las Vegas last night; a friend who was with them was grazed in the back by a bullet.
As this world continues its descent into chaos, I choose to look up for answers.

No matter how hard I try to disassociate myself from the news, it always seeps in. We need comfort and hope in great abundance, these days.
