That's what Instagram feels like, but it sure is better than nothing. Without it I'd feel creatively constipated, i.e. "no output" – ha!
Life continues coming at me faster than I can regularly document it here (never mind my horse blog /-:). In addition, Brian has needed my laptop more and more for homework, leaving me short on access as well as time. This evening I'm determined to share some of the backlog, but rather than doing it in one ginormous, disjointed post, I'm going to serve it up in "courses." ;-)
First up: a tasty little Fair Isle appetizer (and announcement). This was my travel knitting, and went to Nebraska and back, and then to the Oregon coast for a women's retreat and back. I finished it at the coast yesterday, and my friend Kate modeled it so I could get these photos:
I'm really thrilled with my first foray into Fair Isle! It's not perfect, but I learned a lot and it busted some stashed leftovers (both handspun and commercial yarn). The pattern is Sheep Heid, and my colorful version will hopefully make one of my blog readers a very happy winner of my lambing contest. ;-)
I don't have anything else on the needles right now; it's tempting to dig up some more leftovers and cast on another of the above!
Stay tuned for the next course.
That's it for now from . . .

Oh, that's an AWESOME hat!!!
Oh, and you're taking a page from my blog, making us wait ;-D
That hat is fabulous!!!! You did a great job on it.
I'm glad you said that was your friend modeling. I kept looking at the hair thinking wow, that's a surprise and surprised you hadn't shared your new cut and color :-D.
Love the hat!!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the hat. I have never been any good at changing colors in knitting. Never enjoyed the process but I love how it looks. Great Job.
