It may seem like one of these things is not like the others, i.e. pretty little things in nature vs. a scoreboard. Here's how it ties in:
The final score was much more lopsided in the home team's favor; those first four points were a very little thing in the way of their victory. But those first four points were scored by our very own birthday boy, so that little thing made us proud. ;-)

Go Brian!!! I bet he was beside himself! Not to mention his parents and grandmother in the stands... That first photograph just lifted my heart. A reminder that there is such beauty around us. Thank you for capturing it so well.
