Twelve eggs in two days; I'd have to say the hens are doing better than the people around here! After rallying to take care of my teaching responsibilities at homeschool co-op and reporting for work five hours Thursday, the virus I'm fighting took a firmer hold. Rick's feeling pretty poorly too; unusual that we succumbed concurrently. I'm not getting much done beyond the absolute must-dos; just can't muster the wherewithal. The weather keeps me from feeling too guilty about not spending much time outside, although I did turn Lance out for a bit today to stretch his legs.
It has been a weird winter weather-wise, as it has been for many. We've had close to normal precipitation, but the mountain snowpack is abysmal thanks to warmer than average temperatures. That means a world of hurt now for the ski resorts, and a world of hurt later for metro and agricultural water needs – not to mention fire danger. Many things in the world seem topsy-turvy; "signs of the times," I do believe.
That's it for this Friday evening, from . . .

Hope you're both feeling better soon. At the least the hens are on top form!
Ugh. Feel better!
Feel better ~ soon!
Oh no, I'm so sorry you've been sick. No fun any time of year, but especially now. Praying for a speedy recovery for you all.
