p.s. I had to look again and couldn't help think how much those colors remind me of the colors I think of as African. Ian and I just finished watching Michael Palin's documentary series - Sahara. So many of the women's dresses were in those colors and I was drooling.
Wow, that really is a very beautiful and unusual bark! I've never seen that before. Thanks for teaching me about it! Nature never ceases to amaze me. I hope someday to visit the west coast with enough time to spend doing some walks and exploring. The only times I've visited have been for work, and always so rushed.
