Brian has wanted to sleep in the tent with his dad forever - and tonight he's getting his wish. (Yes, we have warmed up and dried out - at least until Monday.) I am sitting in my chair in the living room, ready to knit and spindle after posting this, and can hear Brian's excited voice chattering away outside. I was given permission to join them, but my allergies swamp me if I'm outside for any length of time. My body is going to thank my allergies come morning!
Below are the latest iris to open. The first one is the sole iris in our island bed; the others are in the "iris crescent" across the driveway. Every year they take my breath away; so much beauty!
That's it for tonight at . . .

Gorgeous, gorgeous irises! I wish I had more room.....
I love boys at that age. :) My baby just turned 18. *sigh*
I'm lucky in that my 15 year old daughter still likes to sleep outside under the stars with me at our place. My Irises are in full bloom also.. Beautiful pictures.
I can just hear the excited chattering from that tent. I miss those days, thank goodness my trail riding days in a tent are over and we have graduated to a living quarters trailer for camping. My so, who is 24 next month, still prefers the tent life. lol
Love the iris photos, they are stunning.
