For Joan McEune, who didn't get to see many of this spring's flowers.
Sleep well, my sweet friend;
You were a dear to the end.
(How could the end come so fast?)
Rejected by family, with no children blessed;
So cheerful in spirit no one would have guessed.
(You were proof that one can overcome the past.)
We both loved God's creatures, especially the horse.
So at 70-something I took you riding, of course!
(All your friends were aghast!)
You served the Lord gladly, you served the Lord well.
How many you touched only eternity will tell.
(We'll meet in the air when that trump sounds at last!)
"For the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the Archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the air; and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words." I Thessalonians 4:16-18

So sorry for your loss. Tina
Sorry Michelle, losing friends is never easy, even when we know we will see them again. Beautiful words.

While I am saddened for your loss, I am glad that Joan is no longer in pain. May your fond memeories of her give you the strength you need to help you through this difficult time.
Michelle-
What a beautiful tribute to a friend lost. Your love for her shines through in your words, and will certainly light her way to heaven.
Michelle,
I'm so sorry to hear about Joan's passing. She was blessed to have a friend like you.
(Love your flower photos, too!)
