If I were a flower - or filthy rich

What Flower
Are You?

"You are a health conscious person, both your health and the health of others. You know all about the health benefits and dangers of the world around you."

This was over on Laura's blog. Such quizzes are always entertaining; sometimes the results seem plausible and sometimes they are just bizarre. Who makes up these things anyway?

Laura is one of the many friends I'm looking forward to seeing this weekend at Black Sheep Gathering. I'm going to give her extra hugs for graciously agreeing to board a ram for the weekend - an awesome grey katmoget half-poll! Garrett Ramsay is bringing FirthofFifth Barish for Franna all the way from Minnesota, and I get to lease him first! His two-year-old mid-side micron test results were 22.40 AFD, 5.90 SD, 26.40% CV. I have a sample of his 4-5" fleece and it is SOOO soft! Needless to say, I will use him on all the girls I have this fall, using CIDRs to be able maximize my results before taking him to Franna by the end of October. I am hoping for some soft-fleeced poll-carrying girls from him next spring to retain; a katmoget or two would be a nice bonus. That would give me all the patterns possible in my tiny flock - Aa (solid), Ag (Agouti, or fading), Awt (white - if Dinah doesn't sell), At (gulmoget) and Ab (katmoget)!

I really wanted to get a proven poll-carrier ewe from the Midwest since Garrett is making the trip here, but couldn't work out transportation from Michigan or Illinois to Minnesota to make it happen. I'm bummed, but that's the way it goes. If I was made of money I'd just fly out one of Juliann's lambs!

That's it for now at . . .

It's a good thing you live far away, then -- that's my husband's favorite flower! ;-)

I found it over at Laura's blog too and wondered the same thing -- who comes up with these! I'm a canna, but sadly, they are not a favorite flower. :(

Too bad I didn't know you were looking for transportation in the midwest. I'm always looking for an excuse to go to Minnesota, because we can bring back organic feed.
