Bad, like most news these days

Dead lamb; stressed dam. Had to take the head off to get the big katmoget ram out, and it still took all three of us (Brian finally succeeded) to get both front legs up to pull it out. Avoided a c-section, but still very worried about Sarai. And so ends a no good, very bad day.

Waving the white flag at . . .

Oh, Michelle! That's the worst news. My thoughts and prayers to you all and especially Sarai.

Oh crumb. So sorry Michelle, what an awful day and start to lambing season. Big hugs coming your way.

So much emotional stress (and no doubt some physical stress involved, too) to go through. I do so hope your dear Sarai recovers quickly. A birthing no shepherd wants to have to count in her experience. But if you all hadn't been there to do as you did, Sarai wouldn't have made it either. Hugs.

Oh no! I'm so sorry. We've been there so I know how you feel. Shepherding isn't just sheep snuggles and sweet grazing. It's HARD sometimes! Hoping the rest of your lambing season is much better and that your ewe recovers... hugs!
