Wonderful photos! What is the flower in the second photo?
Those are Centaurea montana, or a variety of perennial cornflower or bachelor's button (I have them in blue/purple, too).
Love the photos, especially the fireworks, which I didn't see this year! Oh, be on the lookout for an email from me... I just took out my first fleece (not Bart's) and I have some technical questions about what to do about the VM...

Great fireworks pictures and yes, the raspberry pictures were torture! They are so pricy in the store I haven't bought any yet - I have a dessert dish I want to make tho...
Kale - tried it once, didn't like it at all - maybe it wasn't cooked right - I felt like I was eating thistles!! :-) T.
