Finally, a sharp close-up of a collared-doved (at our feeder).
Now I know what color their eyes are. :-) |

I finished plying some Inky yarn yesterday – 109 grams of it!
I already have a 50g skein, and there's a little more of her roving left. |

Last year I planted these hostas and astilbe in my island bed.
I'm so pleased with how they are growing this year. |

I just love my species geraniums. |
And I'm finally going to say it. I really dislike this new Blogger interface.
That's it for today from . . .

I agree. The new Blogger interface is for the birds. Speaking of, that is a beautiful photograph of the collared dove- such a delicate creature.
Hi Michelle, I've been viewing your blog and loving your pictures! The dove picture is awesome! I always wondered what color their eyes were too!! Lovely plants and flowers! Thanks for sharing. I'm not too crazy about the new interface either! But it will come!
Blessings
I see you are practicing for our photo contest every day now. I am going to simply give up any attempts to enter something as nice as I see on your blog. I love how your photos tell a story, great job.
BTW-I had the new interface too. grrrr.
Hate to say it, but they creep me out lol they are pretty, but those eyes... I empathize with you, not fond of the interface.
Love the cat on the tractor.
All nice photos...
The interface is still another learning curve. I don't know why they have to keep changing everything.
A treat as always, to see scenes from around your farm. Deer don't like hosta??? I'm in agreement on the new interface, but I'm sure we'll both get use to it sooner or later and hate the newest version to come down the pike afterwards. I don't know why they feel the need to always change it either, but being able to upload multiple pics has been a boon for me at least.
I bought these hosta in a "deer-resistant, shade garden" assortment at Costco, and the deer haven't been a problem yet this year (they did keep nipping down one of the three varieties last year). Then again, they haven't touched my one pot of pansies yet, either, so maybe the dogs are keeping them away!
I never had a problem uploading photos with the old interface - and it was MUCH easier for me to manipulate photos and type to exactly where I wanted them with the old....
I thought the doves would be inhabitating your neighborhood soon...aren't they lovely? I just love hearing their coos. Ya, another "dislike" for the new interface. I don't know why they keep changing things. My dad used to say, "if it's not broke, why fix it?".
Gorgeous spinning. As usual :-).
Just skeined it, Sara; approx. 392 yards. I need to figure out the yardage in the first skein so I can figure out what to make with Inky.
Beautiful pictures, each interesting in its own right. Of course, I'm partial to the one with the spindles. Great job spinning 109 grams on the Swan, with room for more! You can proudly proclaim that you're able to ply 4 oz on one Swan. By the time you spin up the rest of Inky you should easily have over 600 yards.
Blogger messing with my photo arrangements is why I changed to WP. :)
