For the second day in a row, Brian and I ate lunch in his treehouse. Oh, how happy this makes him! Yesterday he requested a honey and dill pickle sandwich, which sounded positively awful (I added Smart Balance on both slices of bread to keep the honey and pickle juice from soaking in), but it must not have been because he requested it again today!
From our perch I could see my handsome hunka ram lamb Blake eating hay,
and the horses picking at the dry nothingness that is their pasture through the trees (they get hay morning and evening).
A doe wandered by the treehouse before I could get my camera out and focused, but then this fawn, faint spots still showing, appeared on the other side of our fenceline.
I thought it might hop over and give me a closer shot, but it bedded down for a rest right there.

That's it for now from . . .

What a treasure this treehouse is!
Honey and pickle sandwich? Hmm, yes, well... OK, maybe those of us who like sweet and sour would like that too. Has Brian tried peanut butter and pickle sandwiches? Pretty good actually.
Great shots of that doe!
Sounds like Brian isn't the only one enjoying his new lofty abode! Nice vantage point and love the little deer bedding down nearby. Can't believe what a tank Blake is.

Leigh, I was having peanut butter and pickle (a long-time favorite) the first day Brian came up with honey and pickle; he decided he didn't want PB....
What a great tree house! But I think I will pass on honey and pickle sandwich. Unless the pickles where little sweet ones. Hmmm... I might have to try one now. :)
Awesome!!! Well, not the sandwich part ;-).
I had a young lady staying here for a bit who ate peanut butter and mayo on a tortilla... even if I liked peanut butter I don't think I would go there lol
Beautiful pics of the deer, so fortunate to be in an area where they just 'wander' through :)
Becky, the deer are beautiful but consider the world their buffet. Makes it impossible to garden or grow fruit trees without 8' fences and chicken wire!
My son has a lot of deer in his yard in Bend. The first thing they did was eat the tubs of strawberries that Missy moved up there from Nevada!
Apparently, that fawn knew it wasn't in any danger. :)
