K is for kaleidoscope

Saturday afternoon we drove over to Schreiner's Iris Gardens, one of our favorite spring outings. Very few iris are blooming there yet (shucks, we'll have to go BACK :-), but there were still plenty of pretties in their display gardens to enjoy. One pathway is lined with lilacs, and various other shrubs and perennials are planted around and among the iris beds. (And if you really want a kaleidoscope effect, zip your scroll bar up and down quickly! Hee!)

That's it for now at . . .

Ha, of course, I had to do the scroll bar move. I'm a little dizzy now.

The flowers are lovely. Thanks for sharing. I particularly like the white buddlheia (sp?)with their long sprays. We had a purple on in San Diego that grew to ten feet high. Oh, I miss the garden.

I am living vicariously through your photos...I woke up to 6" of snow this morning. It was beautiful and the kind that melts on the roads. I love these late snows! It even helped with the wildfires we've had about the area.
But, the sheep are pissed 'cause I won't let them in the wet pasture today! Boo Hoo! Poor mistreated, underfed critters they are. LOL!
Thanks, Michelle!

I was wowed by your flower photos, Michelle. So very beautiful-- and the warm climate they suggest makes me want to abandon Minnesota for the coast--like everyone else.

Your sheep are lovely, too. It's always fun to see what other breeders have-- how the babies look. I hope Brava recovers well. She is lucky you were looking out for her.

Wow! Those are beautiful flowers! I don't know if you've been as rainy as we have, but if so, that explains why you'll have to make another trip to see the flowers. Darn it! :)
