This morning started out gray and cold, albeit our temperate, Willamette Valley version of "cold." Brian and I were in the middle of violin practice when white flakes started drifting lightly down. Violin practice screeched to a halt
until someone got chilled. ;-)
Snowflakes gathered reinforcements and for awhile it looked promising for a hopeful snowboarder.
This Western gray squirrel thought he'd better stock up. He needn't have worried, though. The snow stopped falling, and what was on the ground started melting, leaving just token amounts here and there by the time I headed down to school my horse late this afternoon.
But the clouds are still spitting out the occasional flake; we shall see what morning light reveals. The dogs say, "Let it snow – but keep the fire stoked!"
That's it for now from . . .

I woke up to about 3" of very dry, very fluffy snow. When it was falling last night, I could see the individual snowflakes in their hexagonal lovelieness. Less than paper thin, it was reall fun to watch them fall. Less fun is the 8 degrees I woke up to. Time to find my "Bib, the Michelin Man" gear to go feed!!
I like your pictures of the light snowfall. It is so pretty when the flakes softly drift down from the clouds. Cute squirrel. I'd say the dogs really have it made; it appears you have followed their orders for a warm fire. LOL.
Ha! My sentiments exactly! It was beautiful, if fleeting.
I have your B complex here and also some propylene glycol for you.
Figures the bully would be right on the hearth. I so love bullies.
LOVE the fireplace shot :-D.
