Giving thanks

If the only prayer you ever said was "thank you," it would be enough.
~ Mesiter Eckhart

One of the things I am thankful for is the interaction I get from you on this blog, so I have decided to hold a little Thanksgiving giveaway. Jacquie Lawson and team create the most wonderful e-cards and Advent Calendars; this year's calendar theme is "Edwardian." (I already have it on my computer thanks to the generosity of a friend, and discovered an addictive little marble game in the pavilion; there are several activities available before December 1.)

To encourage more of you who visit to leave a comment, here's the deal: I will give away one Jacquie Lawson 2013 Edwardian Advent Calendar if up to 20 people comment on this post; if more than 20 leave a comment, I will draw two names to receive calendars. Just tell me one thing for which you are thankful in the comments below before I go to bed on December 1. (I will need an email address to send your calendar, and you need to have a computer on which you can download the app.)

Counting blessings instead of sheep at . . .

I've been doing the "30 days of thankfulness" thing on Facebook (2nd year doing it there; we used to do it on construction paper leaves when the kids were little). It helps to remind me that, even though times are tough right now, I have an enormous amount to be thankful for. The one that sticks out the most for me is being thankful for my friends, who are my chosen family.

Happy Thanksgiving Michelle. Even though our Canadian Thanksgiving was in October, I continually am thankful for all my friends and family (non-human family members too!) - IRL AND in cyberspace. I am very lucky indeed.

I am thankful for all the internet friends I've made throughout the years. It is a wonderful thing to know there are others out there like you.

I am thankful that 15 years ago, I was spending Thanksgiving in a recovery facility for my alcoholism. It saved my life and brought me back into living life.

Michelle - thanks so much for stopping by my Blog; you asked about the last hat pattern... it is "Peak Hat" by Susan Lawrence. You can get it on Ravelry, with instant gratification of a PDF download; or, purchase from various companies I am sure. I know Websters sells it as a pattern with a shawl or as a kit. I use gmail and don't have an email program on my computer, thus the contact this method. Please forgive.

I am thankful for my faith, health, family and friends.

Love and hugs from Alaska. (kareninkenai@gmail.com)

Happy Thanksgiving. Yesterday, today and every day I am thankful for many things...my health, my home, a job , my family and the fact that God has chosen to richly bless me with these things even though I am not always deserving.
wishing you and your family the best.

I am thankful to have family and friends in my life. They inspire me to be the best person I can be. I am thankful for a wonderful place to live, my job and extra funds to spend on hobbies that I love. I've also made great friends through blogging and Ravelry, which without the internet could never have happened. So, I'm thankful for the internet as well. :-)

And I give thanks for all my blogging & sheepy pals as well. I wonder if the stuff you are using on your shoulder would work on spinner/crocheter thumb aches... T.
