Sabbath sheep

It was another beautiful day in "The Eden at the End of the Trail," as the pioneers used to call the Willamette Valley of Oregon. After church, Rick and Brian joined some friends for a bike ride through a nearby park, but I opted to sit in the sun with the Shetlands.

The chocolate twins were resting, as was their dam (separately; mothers DO need their space sometimes!).

Marta was busy grazing. The rest? Crowded around me begging for attention. Bart, Bramble and Bing stood by politely waiting their turns, but Sarai tried lifting my watch
and Bonny used her demanding little hooves to make it clear she wasn't willing to share my hands with anyone.

What an adorable post and photos, thank you, Michelle. My Shetland's do the same things...paw to get attention, nibble at things they can't possibly eat and turn up their noses for kisses. Oh how I love my beasties!
