Pay It Forward: Redux

My friend Adrienne is doing this again on her blog, and I couldn't resist. Partly because I still treasure and use the wonderful handknits she sent me several years ago, and partly because I'm ready to be motivated to create some fun little surprises for others.

Ready? Here are the guidelines:

1. I will send a surprise gift to the first three commenters on this post. The gift will be handmade by me. It will be sent sometime in the next 365 days. What you get and when you get it will be a surprise. I will give you no warning whatsoever.

2. To sign up and receive a gift, you must play along, too. Pay it forward on your blog by committing to make a surprise for the first three people who comment on your post.

3. You must have a blog (that is updated regularly), as I will blog-stalk you to find the right gift for you. :-)

4. After commenting here, you must post your own Pay It Forward to your blog within 48 hours. If not, I will chose the next person who comments.

Think of it: a whole year to make something – anything – to share. Sounds like great fun to me, and completely do-able in the next 365 days. Who wants to play?!?

That's it for now from . . .

Well Jean, if no bloggers want to participate, let's bend the rules, okay? You'll just have to write me a long, rambling email about all the things you like to do and wear, favorite colors and places, etc.!

Okay, I'm in! Can't figure out why this seems slightly scary to me. Must be the fear of commitment thing. Thanks for helping me push my comfort zone!

Yay, Shelly! It's scary for me, too; what if my giftees don't like what I make??? Take you, for example. You can spin and knit and do woodworking, too. What am I going to make YOU?

Yippee... I'm in... Maybe this will motivate me and since I have 365 days, my goal will be to get it done in the next few months, instead of procrastinating.

Yay, Ruth! (That's my goal, too.)

Well, you make me smile all the time...

Yay, you have your three participants! Because that sounds like so much fun you have motivated me to knit small items as random gifts for the ladies I work with.

Of course! I didn't wait for the woman. I'm smarter than she is. I'm a Collie.

I hear you are looking for some help with the sheeps! Cause you got an Aussie instead of a Perfect Collie.

I could definitely use some help with the sheeps, Tosca! (But in Jackson's defense, we didn't get him TO work sheep, so it's not a failing on his part. :-)

I'm in tip top sheep shape, Aunt Michelle, honest! I chase my cats all the time and everything. That's how I learned how to come to a screetching halt when they turn around. I jumped the fence last week to visit the old guy behind the property, because he gives me ham. I cleared that fence, let me tell you!

Last year when two pitbulls came after me and the woman, I took them both down. No kidding and now everybody thinks I'm Lassie. I float like a butterfly and sting like a bee! I wish I lived with your sheep. Maybe you can come get me out of this nuthouse.

But Tosca, if I brought you here, who would protect your woman? She NEEDS you!

This is true. This is true. Maybe you could do a joint custody thing? I mean I could use a break from "Tosca do this" and "Tosca do that". "Tosca bring me this". "Tosca come here". "Tosca stop that". I'm ready for sheep! Sheep are easy next to this! You run fast than they do, You bark. You run a circle around them and turn them around. You clack at them like only a Collie can do, then you head them home. You eat. Then you take a nap. I clack all the time for stupid crappy biscuits. How humiliating! My Collie clack was meant for sheeps!
