1) It's the perfect place for dog-walking - human-walking, too, for that matter!
2) There are always treasures to find.
I call this my "blue moon" rock.
3) Water is fun! (Note the arc of spray from Brian's foot, plus the dancing foam on the surf; biggifying recommended.)
Ditto.
4) The Oregon Coast has wild, rugged beauty, as well as smooth sands.
5) Rugged beauty = fascinating tidepools to explore.
6) There's no better place for flying kites.
Or at least trying to.
7) It has beautiful flora.
8) And fauna.
9) The skyscapes are incredible.
10) The ocean has a thousand faces (all of them beautiful).
Lucky (very blessed, actually) to live only an hour away at . . .

It looks like a great time was had by all. Beautiful images!
love the starfish picture. we haven't been to the coast in a long time......
Wow - that's gorgeous!!! What a nice day :-).
You captured the most amazing colors, and action! Love the one of Brian bounding across the sand.
Every picture is beautiful!
Looks like a perfectly wonderful day.
Lovely, lovely pictures Michelle! Thanks for putting them up as it brings back memories from our trip out there last fall (to Chastain's, right before a brief visit to the coast). Was this anywhere near Tillimook?
Oh my what a perfect family weekend! I second and third and fourth all of your reasons for loving the coast....oh if only we lived closer than six hours away....
Sending you all Blessings....
Beautiful shots, Michelle :-) Particularly like the one of Brian in mid-air :-)
I have to agree, the Pacific Northwest coast is my favorite place as well :)
Sheila, we DID have a great time; thanks!
Denise, how far are you from the coast?
Another reason for you to visit, Sara! (-;
Wanda, can you believe how low the tide was that day? The complete opposite of the day we rode!
It was a perfect afternoon, Kim!
Theresa, this was at Road's End Park in Lincoln City.
I wish you lived closer, too, Karla! (-:
Adrienne, that mid-air shot of Brian was pure chance; it was the photo image my camera always snaps when I begin to take video footage!
Becky, I think the dogs and I could be very happy living at the coast (my guys, not so much).
Michelle, those are some of the most beautiful photographs I've ever seen! I want to be there!!
I better get my butt to the BSG, I can see that right now.
Nice shots Michelle.
What lovely shots of what must have been the perfect day. Some day, when I am old and grey no doubt, I am going to find a quiet small place on the maine coast and go into seclusion, me, my critters and maybe even the husband! ;)
Beautiful!! Thanks so much for sharing!
I love the West Coast, all of it. I grew up in SoCal and it has a different coastal feel. I'm not sure how I ended up land locked, so always appreciate our annual tag ups.
You're welcome, Marie. :-)
You know I grew up in SoCal, too, Sharon. To me the beaches there might as well be on another planet (and I like THIS planet so much better!).
Beautiful photos! I love the one of Brian running on the beach, so carefree and fun.
