Diversions

Still swamped around here; I just keep bailing as fast as I can. I do steal occasional breaks to photograph or blog or read emails or knit, lest I short-circuit and completely shut down. Do you ever do that? Sometimes when I'm under an impossible load of things to do, I.Just.Shut.Down. This does NOT help my stress level; no, not at all. All those things that must be done are still waiting for me! Never fear; I do eventually gather up the fragments of my scattered mind and get things done....

One mental diversion that I indulge in is thinking up lamb names. (Lambs could start arriving in 5-6 weeks! I can hardly wait to see this year's surprise packages!) I decided when I began Boulderneigh that all lambs' names would begin with B. I keep a running list that I add to when I think of a new name possibility and subtract from once I've used a name. The names I've used sometimes come from my list and sometimes present themselves with circumstances and individuals (like with Blizz and Bluster, and Beau and Boo). Who knows what names will seem right for my lambs this year, and whether or not they will come from my list? I do know I'll have fun figuring it out; naming is one of my favorite things to do!

That's it for now from . . .

There are some great 'B' city names in Oregon :) Funny how we have similar blog posts tonight!

Yet ANOTHER freaky similarity...the shut down thing. And explained so much better than I could...

And here's my best "B" names...

Broadway, Bunny, Bombadil, Bopper, Binghamton, Breyer, Boston, Bryce, Butter, Baker, and Beauty.

Swamped? As in rain? Us too and I'm getting sick of it! Good thing the Lord promised not to destroy the world again by flood so at least there's hope!

I've been having a difficult time lately and this verse was soothing:
"Trust God from the bottom of your heart, don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go, He's the one who will keep you on track" Prov3:5 (Message Bible)
It was a good reminder for me!

One of my favorite things to do has been naming lambs and so far I've named them as soon as the come out of the chute but this year I'm drawing a blank. I think instead of thinking of "Old Fashioned" names like normal, I need a theme like Shannon does.

"B" names - Bernadette, Bluster, Burgess, Burkhart, and Bubbles.

Oh Adrienne, how could I have neglected to add those perfect names to my list??? That makes 60 names on my list, which should last me a decade with the number of ewes I breed!

Balderdash! A favorite of mine...I LOVE coming up with names! We are doing stars, constellations and such since our first lamb was born the morning following the "Blue Moon". By the way...Bogie and Bacall...great for twins!!!
