Sue! Random.org chose Sue as the winner of the laser engraved ornaments (Sue, please email me your snailmail address - there's a link on the right side - so I can send them to you).
As suspected, life interfered with announcing the winner when planned; at 5:00 yesterday we were at the Great Oregon Steam-Up watching lots of different kinds of tractors do a pulling demonstration. Brian was in heaven, although he really wanted the demo to be a contest, and have a winner. (He was rooting for the Caterpillar D6.)
I picked up this adorable potholder at a vendor's booth there; I think it would be fun to make some myself as gifts. (Realistically, when am I going to find the time to do that???)
Since we will be enjoying a house full of company this evening through Sunday, I don't know how much I'll be posting this week. Here are a couple random shots from this morning to hold you, just in case:
That's it for now from . . .

I love that potholder! What a neat idea for old jeans! Yeah, I get that feeling all the time, 'wow, I could do that!' and then I never do. But it was a good thought :)
I don't know which is more incredible... the amount of weight those antique tractors can pull, or the ballast that the little train engine seems to be dragging along.
Have a great weekend!
Enjoyed your blog. Love the sheep pics.
Hello Biran! I am glad you are happy with my humble little gifts. I loved playing with little horses when I was a child...and guess what? I still do!
You are a precious little young man and I hope you are having a wonderful summer.
Love Karla and Miss Peach
Oh my old fumbled fingers hope you will forgive the typo in your name dear Brian...XOX
I always enjoy those old bits of machinery. They have a wonderful display of them at the Nevada County Fair - also belt-driven mining equipment. It's a bit of a drive, but I hope to make it again this year. I can hear the sounds behind your pictures.
Oh, I will HAVE to bring my husband down to see the steam engines sometime. He runs one up here during our "Pioneer Days" and I am in negotiation with someone to purchase theirs for his super surprise gift! *grin* We all have different hobbies, don't we?? hehehe
