Boys will be boys

Ah, how sweet. A boy and his dog.

But if you take a closer look, their true natures are revealed. A goose egg and bruise on Brian's forehead:(from careening through the house in stocking feet, slipping and crashing forehead first into a door frame); a stitch holding together a little gash on Jackson's cheek:
(from chasing a squirrel and crashing face first into a metal t-post).

It kind of adds to Jackson's rakish look, don't you think? Poor guy; he isn't even completely healed up from his recent dining room table surgery!

Here's praying they both make it to adulthood at . . .

Oh dear - if it's not one thing, it's another. Just be glad no one got bit by a cat ;-) Hope both boys are healed up quick.

And they both look so sweet and innocent lying there! :-) All Jackson needs is a patch and he'd look right 'piraty'. One time Boone (during all his many surgeries and treatments) ran full force into the edge of a cattle panel. He had two small cuts but I was sure he had gouged out an eye when I saw it happen!

The best to your little boys. They are both very good looking little lads.

Poor boys!! Looks like they were doing what they needed to do in your picture, lay down and rest! My sheep dog did something similar - she's horribly competitive and loves to race the Pyrenese, but can't stand it if one of them gets in front of her. Well she was chasing a rabbit (we don't have tree squirrels here on the bald ol' prairie) and so afraid of not getting there 'first' and looking over her shoulder every couple of steps and, WHAM! Right into a mesh panel. She hit so hard that it bowed (the panel) and sprung and bounced her back a few feet. Being the good mum that I am, I laughed so hard I couldn't stand up. No stitches, but she dented the bone part on her nose!

Well......it is not only boys that have goose eggs and bruises. My little granddaughter, 16 months, has a big purple and green bruise on her forehead from taking a face plant on the concrete. That poor baby never has a face without bruises.

Ouchie for both! But you know they'd do it all over again, wouldn't they? :)

Seems like just last week, Jackson made Brian look big! They are both growing so fast!

Poor Jackson and Brian! They're probably both plotting the next adventure (and bruising):)
