Will you do me a favor?

"I see you; come talk to me!"
"Wait; what about me?"

Blogger tells me that my last blog post has had 71 views, but no one has left a comment. Is it just me that thinks it odd that 71 people have stopped by but haven't said so much as "Hi"? Maybe you can't; maybe something in the settings is 'broken.' If that's the case, you should be able to contact me using the hot link at right that says "Email me!"; it's the first item under the word "LINKS." Let me know if the 'comments' function is broken or difficult, so I can improve it if possible.

From my own experience, particularly this past spring, I know that sometimes I'm too overwhelmed in my  own life to do more than read others' blogs. If this is you right now, I understand and I'm sorry. Here's some beauty for your troubled soul:

Please know you are appreciated. Thanks for blogging. I do read every post!

I've continued to follow your blog since we met at the sheep show in Jefferson and love reading about you, critters, family and seeing your beautiful pictures. I rarely comment and that's on me. I promise to do better; do know your blog is often an escape for me and always enjoyed. WI-D.

Thank you for your comment, Mary; so nice to know you are here!

Donell, getting to attend Jefferson and meet you was wonderful; I have such wonderful memories from that trip! It is heartwarming to know that you still visit me here; for all I knew I scared you off. ðŸĪŠ

I was one who did read your last post but didn't comment. (Bad, Mama Pea, bad.)
I know you understand that even though I'm a regular reader, there are times when my worn out brain cells just can't manage to come up with an intelligent comment . . . even though I always read and enjoy your posts. (Heck, I'm even having trouble getting anything interesting written for a regular blog post of my own. My husband says our brains are soggy right now. Not a pleasant picture, but I sure know what he means!)

I too always read, but sometimes just can't muster a comment. Sorry :-(.

I have the same geranium this summer. I think it's called apple blossom maybe? I think it's gorgeous and am trying to decide if I'm going to try to over winter it in the house.

Yep, you're still stuck with me.

Lovely flower photos... And poor Poppy looks SO left out! :-)

Mama Pea, you almost always comment, so you surely deserve a break sometimes. 😉

I understand, Sara. Yes, the showiest geranium is called Apple Blossom and I've probably had mine close to a decade; it (and the others) overwinters in our daylight basement.

I'm glad, Sue!

Thanks, FD. Don't worry about Poppy; she's the one who gets to be with us the vast majority of the time, while Chuckie hangs around outside hoping for attention 'crumbs.'

Hi from Holland. I do like reading your blogposts. I sometimes just do not have an equal intetesting statement to make :-)

I didn't know I had a Dutch follower, Wendy; how nice of you to comment! Just knowing people 'out there' are reading here is enough; don't worry about being 'interesting'!

I have been following your blog for years and enjoy reading it and looking at the pictures. I have seldom commented because I didn’t feel I had anything of import to say. I want to let you know that I appreciate the work you put into your blog. Thank you.

Another reader I didn't know about – thanks for checking in, AthertonCA! Like I told Wendy, it's really nice to hear from people, even if it's just to say "Hi." We don't have to engage in repartee, although it would be nice to know what people find most interesting.

Michele, if you were the "anonymous" blogger who commented last week about the sheep who looked in pain... she had something going on with her leg. Sam caught her and i held the flashlight while we both felt and looked at her leg and foot, we could find nothing. As the week went on, the pronounced limp lessened, but this morning, when Sam's mom came to pick them up to go home for winter... I pointed her out and asked her to please check when she got home, that the leg had looked swollen to me when I went in the pasture last night.
They have a number of Suffolk ewes, but she had torn her ear tag out and was easy to identify.

I am like you... I get too busy. I used to read many blogs daily, now I am lucky if I can sit down for a while. I miss reading them!

I also read your blog but feel I have nothing to say. I will attempt to do better. I do enjoy reading about your adventures, family and sheep. My family use to have a small flock, and we homeschooled.

Thank you for blogging, I always enjoy whatever you post! I don't feel I have much to say either. I need to start looking on the bright side - it's out there :)

Hi - as mentioned in another comment - Blogger seems to have stopped notifying me of your new posts. This is bothersome (and is one of the reasons I moved over to Wordpress last year). I'll check more often, because I love catching up with you and your life :-)

These responses just made me go into my very neglected blog and check. I had comments awaiting moderation from a frequent commenter. My poor blog has been neglected but for those still active it might behoove you to check to see if comments are being held.

Yes, that 'anonymous' comment was from me, Mary Ann. Reading blogs is what I do for leisure instead of TV, movies, etc.

Susan, surely you have thoughts or reactions to photos and things you could share?

Sorry about that, A. I didn't change anything, so Blogger must have. 😕

Sue, I double-checked, but since I haven't enabled comment moderation, there were no comments awaiting moderation.
