How about some serenity by the sea?

Right now I feel kind of like I'm standing in the midst of a tornado that has picked up bits and pieces of my life and is swirling it around me at warp speed. It's been a busy week-plus at home, afield, and afar and I have photographic proof of some of it, but not the time to organize said proof and do the wordsmithing to go with it. So as much for me as for you I am posting one set of photos, taken last Sabbath afternoon during a family outing at the coast. Imagine with me the sun, the sand, the sea, the smells, the sounds . . . and just B-R-E-A-T-H-E.

That's it for now from . . .

Being by the water is one of the most soul soothing places to be. I echo Elaine - sure hope all is OK.

Lovely photos. After growing up on the coast, camping on the beach, lifeguarding at the beach, I only like seeing it in photos now. I am happy to be in the mountains. I hope this week is calmer for you.

Oh WOW, did you ever have a wonderfully beautiful day! I haven't been to the beach for a couple of years. That, also, was a great day.

You took some exquisite photos. You have a very real gift for photography!!

It looks as if Poppy had a great day, too.

It's me again!! I wondered if there just happened to be a wedding on the beach, or if you went there for the FOR the wedding!

I hope this day has gone well for you. We've had nice weather, in the mid 70's. We had a little bit of smoke, definitely not as bad a a couple of weeks ago.

Yes, it was lovely, Leigh – and one of my favorite places to be.

I'm fine, Elaine and A, just feeling swamped.

Fran, things aren't going to calm down until the end of month, soonest. I like the mountains, too; there is beauty everywhere!

Thanks for the high compliment, Jeanne! Yes, Poppy likes the beach; lots of stimulating stuff there. No, we weren't there for the wedding. Didn't actually see the ceremony, just the bride and her attendants getting some photos taken. They were blessed with a great day for it!

I always find that spending a little time with my sheepy friends helps me calm the whirlwind of other concerns. Something about their sweet faces and rhythmic cud chewing.
