Jewelbox days

Until yesterday, our weather has positively sparkled for WEEKS – weeks that would normally be the wettest of the year. Now, as you can see, we're getting fog and smog (that gloriously dry weather translates to smoke from fires intentional and unintentional). Today, between the persistent fog and the time change, it got dark very early. That's okay; I was busy making a big kettle of Pumpkin Black Bean Soup. (It is delicious!)

When Sara put up a Wovember Instagram post on November 1, I decided to jump in blindly and follow her lead using recent photos of the wethers, and more sheep photos I took on Sunday when changing coats and trimming toes on twins Bridget and Bardot. Once I learned that there are daily prompts, I've had to work a little harder to find fitting photos. (If you want to see them all, just click on the blue Instagram button at right; you don't have to "do" Instagram to see them.)

Bardot's fleece
Here's the gift hat I finished on the 1st (I need a balloon to block it); today I cast on gift hat #2. The goal is to have both blocked and dry by my next farrier appointment on the 15th, which should be do-able.
No, not driving; waiting in line at Starbucks
That's it for now from . . .

What lovely photos! You definitely have a gift there!
The hat is so pretty. it's tempting, but I don't like wearing them.
Have another beautiful day.

Thanks, Debbie; we must have been commenting at the same time! The recipe link is in my reply to Sue.

Jeanne, another same-time commenter; ha! I don't wear hats, either, so all the ones I make are gifts. They sure are fun, fast projects, though!

I am so glad that I am not the only one who drives with knitting on her lap - knitting only when not driving, of course! I pitter-patted around outside this chilly morning, wearing my lovely blue owl hat! xo

Aw, Susan, you warmed my heart this chilly morning!

It is a rare rare treat for me to have knitting on my lap in the car - because I am always the driver. And we don't get enough 'pauses' here to even get in a few stitches. The hat turned out wonderful. Your colorful world is so loverly. But my favorite are the pictures of your sheep. Really, they don't look like 'livestock' they look like beloved pets.

What a great post title! Definitely does justice to your beautiful photographs. And thank you for sharing that soup recipe! I was wondering if my cushaw or candy roasters might be too sweet, but I see sweet potato is added for sweetness, so they might be just right.
