Or, we went, we rode, we returned, we celebrated!
Another great Cowboy Campmeeting is history, with its scenery, trail rides, friends and fellowship. Note that I didn't say
campfires, as they weren't allowed, but there was plenty of smoke coming and going, which was a little scary.

A delay on the way: a blown trailer tire |

Smoke in the forest as we arrived turned out to be a prescribed burn |

Spinning along with the Tour de Fleece |

On our way home, we bought a lug of these BIG Bing cherries |

Mt. Hood from the fruit stand |

Later, Mt. Hood was shrouded with smoke from a wildfire near The Dalles |
Cowboy Campmeeting is always around the 4th of July, so the years that it isn't over the 4th are few – and fun. We can have our Cowboy Campmeeting and our fireworks, too!
And our family time. Before the community show, we had a festive supper with my MIL, with corn on the cob, potato salad, (veggie) chik nuggets, chips with bean dip and salsa, those
giant Bing cherries, and homemade ice cream. Then we walked it all off to get from where we parked to the fireworks venue and back.

Great pictures. Especially the null dog picture where he is trying to be a lap dog. :-)
Great shots of a fun weekend :-).
You got great pictures of the fireworks! Those bing cherries made my mouth water. We can occasionally get them around here (imported, of course!) but they're so darned expensive. Looks as though your camping trip was a success and enjoyed by all . . . pups included!
Looks like a nice place and a good time...so, why is Rick so cranky? I asked him how it was and he said "he wasn't excited about it". I prodded a bit more, but he wasn't compliant, so I will hope to hear more from you about CCM. My clinic was AMAZING! :) We did great!!
Wow! The biggest cherries I've ever seen!
Looks like a wonderful time! You got some great fireworks pictures - those can be tricky to achieve!
