Broken

The heat has been building this week, and yesterday and today were just plain HOT. On top of that, our AC wasn't working. But this afternoon our technician friend (who installed our new heat pump) came back out and replaced our thermostat, fixing our AC. This evening the coast breeze that evaded us last night swooshed in and broke this heat wave's back. As if that wasn't relief enough, tomorrow we're going to the coast for church, where it is supposed to maybe reach 70 degrees. Ahhhhhh!

That's it for now from a refreshed . . .

English Bull Dogs are so heat intolerant. Glad you air is fixed.

Our heat wave has dropped . . . a bit. Not to our usually cool temps, but at least it's more tolerable. (Ask me if I still think this way after we get done wood cutting this morning!) Glad your air conditioning is back up to snuff, and that your family (including the furry ones) is more comfortable.

We're still waiting for the wave to break. Poor Dozer, even the JRT are a bit slower. Not a bad thing....;-)

Glad the breeze set in to cool you off a bit! X

We learned to REALLY appreciate the air-con in the car when it broke down recently. We kept saying "What did we do before air conditioning?!" Answer: opened the windows, loved the sunroof (I remember our first car with one!) and got very hot!
It's only when we don't have something that we really appreciate it!

I saw your coastal photos on Instagram... very nice! I did not know you were without AC, with Keith sick, we have to have it here. I'm glad yours is repaired!

Oh going to the coast sounds just lovely. Living in the mountains since we moved to NH back in 2000 I do find myself missing the ocean, especially in the summer. Glad you AC was fixed with a simple solution! I'm back up and running, I think anyway but I have a new blog and website where you can find me. http://thepinkopossumstudio.blogspot.com or www.thepinkopossumstudio.com

I hope everyone is well? How is your riding going? I have so much to catch up with on your blog... better get reading :)

Hugs,

You are right, RK. It's a good thing all the dogs love ice cubes; it's a great way to cool them down.

Even a bit helps, eh, Mama Pea?

Hopefully you've had a break by now, Theresa!

That almost daily evening breeze is truly a blessing, Maggie.

FD, I also think we get less heat-tolerant as we get older....

Thanks for following me on Instagram, Mary Ann!

Beth! So good to "see" you! We're all doing well, and I'm still riding. :-)

It is never fun when your air conditioner goes out! I have had to go more than one summer without cool air. However, you really seem to appreciate it more after its fixed. Can you imagine what it must have been like to live in the days before air conditioning?

What an adorable English Bull Dog you have. The heat must have been so uncomfortable for him. It’s nice that you had a friend to come and make a quick fix and nip the problem in the bud. Going to the coast for church sounds not only fun but refreshing. That breeze that you catch will be so awesome.

It's nice to have friends who know what they are doing. I wouldn't even know where to start if my air conditioner stopped working. How did you know the thermostat was the issue? I would have ended up calling a HVAC company to come diagnose, only to find out that it was something as simple as the thermostat. Though, either way, I wouldn't be able to fix it myself!
