Frozen (updated)
We're not in the deep freeze like some, but we're getting more than forecast.
Waiting for the predicted rise in temps that will allow the overburdened foliage to "let it go" – hopefully before we lose any limbs. Sure is purdy, though.
Casualty update, from right outside our front door:
Oh, dang. But that wood will burn very well. Or if you know someone who does woodworking, they could make you something, like a niddy-noddy from it. Maple is maple, regardless of size!!

Oh no! Your beautiful Japanese Maple. :( Aside from that sad picture the rest are breathtaking in their juxtaposition of autumn brilliance and ice.
Our first snow fell through last night and into this morning. It's always pretty, but......
