Newly naked spindle
I finished spinning the first half (approximately 50g) of my rainbow roving today.
My holly Jenkins Aegean Turkish spindle and I are ready to work on the second half of the roving while traveling tomorrow. Blaise's fleece is waiting for me at home, though, so my spinning attention will be divided once I get there. Still, I hope to finish this project by the end of the Tour de Fleece.

I am sooooo impressed with your spindle spinning. I am a "wanna be" spinner with not enough time or focus to get as good as you. I have the spindles - the fiber - the books and dads of instructions, but unless I practice it will never be as perfectly even as yours. Beautiful. Do you also ply using your spindles?
I even have a spinning wheel - but never use that. I am drawn to the spindles. Crazy.
Thanks for sharing your work on occasion on the blog. I really enjoy seeing it ... that and your handsome bull dog. I wish we weren't on opposite coasts. :-)

RK, why did I think you are on the west coast, too? Yes, I often ply with a larger spindle; I may do that with this yarn. And I'll try to include more photos of Dozer. Looking forward to getting home to my critters tonight!

I so admire your wrapping technique. I have tried and have lost patience but am tempted to try again when I see a turtle like yours. BTW, how are you processing Blaise's fleece, particularly the carding/flicking/combing part?
